La Inducción de honor español

Hey guys! What's up? Thought I'd fill you in on what happened over the week. It was pretty eventful.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday was KTTC testing or something like that. Can't remember the exact name. Ohh, well. It doesn't matter. All you need to know about it is that it's Kentucky state testing to measure how much you've learned and know thus far.

Tuesday was math. Super easy. I loved this test the most (even though I hate math) because I'm good at it and because the open responses are extremely simple. I did very well. There were three parts and we went through to 6th period. Although I'm confident that I did extremely well, it kind of sucked because we had WAYYYYYYY too much time. It was ridiculous. You get 2 hours 40 minutes for the first two parts, and most of the students got done in the first 60. 'Why don't you just read?' you may be thinking. Well, after I was finished with my test, I pulled out my novel.

"It's okay, you can read it," My principal, Mr. Dowdy, said.
Not 5 seconds passed before my counsellor, Mr. Carroll, yelled: "No reading while the tests are out." Awesome. I had an hour and forty minutes to sit there. I was so upset. At the time I was reading a Northern Light by Jennifer Connelly. I wanted to finish it so I could return to my friend Lexi. Whatevs.

Wendesday was Science and Thursday was Social Studies. Both were pretty easy. Once again, I had tons of free time left. I'm just glad that it's over.

Friday was very easy since the teachers were easy on us because they knew we were exhausted from testing. In Sociology we finished Shaw Shank Redemption, in Spanish IV we finished Avatar, (the seniors were watching it while we were testing.) and in English we read outside. It was a beautiful day, so it was hard to concentrate on our novel. (Right now we're reading the Great Gatsby. Pretty good read.)

Friday afternoon I mostly relaxed. I listened to music, cleaned a bit, and did my weekly laundry. Then around midnight Viv picked me up to go to her house. She just got back from Columbus and we were going to volunteer the next morning.

So Saturday we got up around 7:30 to get ready. I know, it's very early. Craziness. It was actually fun, though. We were to clean up Ironton but planting flowers, pulling the weeds, and fluffing the mulch. We weren't there for too long because so many people signed up to volunteer. How awesome is that? I love volunteering.

After that we went home and took showers, because by then we were filthy. Once we were clean we got Panera Bread (YUMMMMM.) and then went back home to take naps. We were all very exhausted. It'd been a long day.

Dinner was the best part, however. We had Korean steaks, white rice, salads, and this amazinggggg fluffy strawberry pastry covered in strawberries, bananas, and chocolate drizzle. Every part was impeccable. Viv really is an amazing cook! Yummm. I love Korean steaks. :)

After we cleaned up the kitchen and did the dishes it was off to a late-night movie. The movie of choice: Kickass. And Kickass it was. I absolutely loved it!!! It's a perfect story. I don't know which part was my favorite, Hit Girl or how Dave finally got his girl. It was very cute. I suggest you go see it. :)

Today was alright. I had a Spanish Honorary Induction ceremony. I really didn't wanna go, but it wasn't that bad. I felt very anxious before-hand, but once I got there I felt mostly at ease. And it only lasted about 20 minutes! I thought it would last an hour. We got a cute little pin, a candle that we had to light, a certificate, and a carnation. Then after everyone got that, the seniors got their tassels. Once it was over there was cake. It was sooo delicious. Sra. LeMaster also said that the classes would be eating the leftovers because there would be so many pieces left over! AWESOMENESS! hehe. I love cake.

Once I left, Viv took me over to Pheth's to housesit. It feels weird having such freedom, but it's nice. I've been reading, lounging, and drinking hot cocoa. :) If only I had my license. It would make this ordeal so much easier. Ohh, well. Well, I've talked enough. Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend!!
